Indicative schedule
INDICATIVE SCHEDULE
Day 1: Arrival in Milan Malpensa or Domodossola FS, transfer by private transport to Alpe Devero. Accommodation and visit of the marvellous Devero plain with welcome aperitif and typical dinner.
Day 2: Alpe Sangiatto hike: First excursion to discover the world of the mountain pastures with the Alpe Sangiatto. In this small pasture it is produced the famous Bettelmatt cheese, we will discover the processing of its traditional production, erbs and flowers that give it its good taste. Then we will follow a different path to descent passing by the little Crampiolo village a tiny and cosy pasture, where we will have the opportunity to taste the typical cheeses with the “merenda” which is the afternoon snack time!
Difficulty: medium-easy - Difference in height: 500 m
Day 3: Val Buscagna hike: we will visit a marvellous valley of Alpe Devero with its wonderful mountain pastures and streams of water. If we have enough energy left on our legs we can also climb up a small summit from where the panorama range over the entire pasture of Devero and the surrounding peaks with views towards the Swiss Alps.
Difficulty: Medium-easy - Difference in height: 500 (+ 200 m if you reach the top)
Day 4: Witches Lake and Devero Lake. Long but rewarding excursion. We will visit the Alpine lakes of Devero. Witches Lake has a legend to tell meanwhile Devero Lake is a splendid example of energy production well-integrated in the landscape. The view toward Arbola Peak is so dramatic and the surrounding area calls to a little typical Canadian panorama.
Difficulty: Medium - Difference in altitude: 600 m
Day 5: Descent from Alpe Devero to Baceno with private minibus, visit of the Romanesque church, return to Domodossola FS and / or Malpensa airport in the afternoon with private minibus. End of your fantastic holiday!

Physical requirements and training
HOW TO KEEP FIT TO ATTEND THIS TREKKING
This trek requires a medium-low, medium effort, it is necessary to be active and not sedentary. Practicing aerobic sports (running, cycling, swimming) is the best way to be ready for the trek. If you do not play sports normally, it is suitable to do a little training at least two months before the trek with a easy run of about 30-40 minutes twice a week combining some squats and lunges (10 squats + 20 lunges) to tone up your muscles.
