Stunning view from Moneglia to Framura between woods and cliffs
Today is very hot we are just at the beginning of spring! On the Ligurian coast the temperature during the day was 24° and we experienced an early summer.
We started from Milan with 7° and humidity and arrived in Moneglia with 18° and dry climate, this is the beauty of northern Italy in a few kilometers you can have often opposite climates.
Our trail starts from the city center, we follow a small road to reach the village of Lemeglio.
In this village, overlooking the sea, there is a pretty church built of slate, a metamorphic rock of sedimentary origin typical of this area of Liguria. We leave the village of Lemeglio to climb Monte Crocetta along a path in the woods and with beautiful views of the sea.
At the top there is no beautiful view because of pines so we had better to go down to Deiva Marina where we can have lunch by the sea before facing the most beautiful stretch of trekking.
Once in the village we buy good focaccia and enjoy our lunch on the beach.
Better not eat too much because we still have a climb, with the today’s hot temperatures it will be more tiring. Lukily it is partly in the woods.
We climb slowly and once again reached the ridge the panorama opens over Framura with its jagged coast.
The toponym Framura means between the walls that in this case are the rocks and cliffs that surround the village consisting of scattered fractions on the promontory.
We take the panoramic path that leads us to the village overlooking the sea ending a wonderful day of sun, sea and mountain!
